Shannon Hong

2025 Fellow

Shannon is a technologist and AI researcher. With the Oxford China Policy Lab, Shannon conducts research at the intersection of AI and US-China relations. As a fellow at Creative Commons, she explored public interest AI and experimented with democratic methods of governing AI. Previously, as Product Manager at Scale AI, she led technical teams to build data labeling products for autonomous vehicles. She is currently pursuing an MBA at the Oxford Saïd School of Business, and she studied Development Studies and Data Science at U.C. Berkeley. Find her rowing, sailing, and playing the bamboo flute.
