Job Title: OCPL Operations Assistant
Commitment: Up to 10 hours per week for 10 months (October 2024-July 2025), fluctuating based on event timelines
Compensation: £14-16/Hour (depending on candidate experience)
Location: Oxford, UK

Job Description: The Operations Assistant will work closely with OCPL's directors and team members to support various administrative and logistical tasks. The Operations Assistant will:
Manage internal task tracking systems and support internal communications
Assist with general team scheduling and organisation
Coordinate meetings, taking and distributing meeting minutes
Plans events and book venues
Facilitate reimbursements and manage financial documentation
Book travel arrangements for team members and guests
Based on applicant interest and performance, more advanced responsibilities may be assigned over time. Depending on applicant skills, interest, and availability, this role has the potential to be combined with other roles such as Fellow or Fellowship Coordinator for those who already possess an undergraduate degree.

Required:
Experience in event planning or coordination
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.,), Google Workspace, and Slack
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
Must be based in Oxford, UK
Preferred but not required:
Familiarity with project management tools
Interest in or knowledge of China-related policy issues and emerging technologies
