Moritz von Knebel

2025 Fellow

Moritz is a Research Scholar at the Institute for Law and AI, where he focuses on AI Policy in the European Union. He's previously worked on international AI governance regimes as a Mercator Fellow for International Affairs. As a consultant to the OECD, non-resident Fellow at the Portulans Institute and fp21, Visiting Scholar at the Institute for National Defense and Security Research in Taipei and Fellow for International Digital Policy at the GIZ and the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport, he has previously conducted research on a variety of questions related to the governance of emerging technologies and their international security implications. As a Project Manager at FAR AI, he supported the International Dialogues on AI Safety. He holds a Master's degree in Political Science, Philosophy and Education from Philipps-University Marburg.
